Consumer-Owned Generation

PPI maintains an Interconnection Policy for Cogenerators and Small Power Producers under Public Utility Regulatory Act (PPI Policy #509) to provide for interconnection of a Qualifying Facility (QF) with PPI or a PPI Member distribution cooperative.  PPI works with the PPI Member distribution cooperatives to provide alternatives, with appropriate restrictions, to QF interconnected facilities.

Member-consumers considering installation and interconnection of renewable energy equipment should contact their local distribution cooperative to determine interconnection requirements and available distributed generation policies.
